Jen & Phil met up with me at Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake, IL. During the session we took photos on the lake path, a bridge, near the lily pad covered pond, a couple of fire escapes, an alley, and a cool archway. Here is the link to their photos. Phil called me before they were engaged and we devised a scheme to capture his proposal in photos and video. This was the first time I had the privilege to shoot a proposal so I have a special connection with these two. Jen & Phil Proposal Candids. The love they have for each other is wonderful and I can't wait to shoot their wedding on November 26 this year!
Thanks for stopping by my site. If you attended a wedding I shot on Friday, May 28 or Saturday May 29, here are the links to their weddings.

New images will be posted periodically over the next seven days so check back a few times to see what is new.
Leslie & Jon were married May 22, 2010 at Royal Oak Farm Orchard in Harvard, IL. The girls got ready in a teepee, the guys played air guitars in mid air, they wedding party took a wagon ride, the day was hot and sunny but the cake was amazing. This was a special wedding for me because I knew about 80% of the people at the wedding. Take a look at the photos. Here is the link to my photo site. Check back in a few days to see more as I have more edited.
Marrissa and Brian were married on May 8, 2010 at the Paine Art Center and Gardens in OshKosh, WI. While the weather was a bit chilly there was plenty of warmth in the love Marrissa and Brian share for each other and that the families also shared. The Paine Art Center and Gardens was a gorgeous location with so many unique backdrops for photography. I felt like I died and went to "photography heaven!"
Here is the link to their main wedding gallery. If you would like to see their engagement portraits we shot at Miller Park here is that link too.
I traveled to my hometown of Topeka, Kansas to shoot the wedding of a friend of my sister's on May 1, 2010. We had a lot of fun with the wedding party on a picture perfect day. The guys all wore different color ties which made it easy to play off of the Reservoir Dogs nicknames. For example, Mr. Pink, Mr. Blue, Mr. Yellow, etc. etc. No there were no Mr. Blacks.
Here is a sneak peak at my favorite images unedited from the first 100 I edited in hotel room between Topeka and Walworth, WI.
Each year I have the pleasure of participating in a very unique racquetball tournament. While I was on the injured list I was still able to capture some photos of this exciting event. Check out the photos.
Photomontage March 19-22, 2010
Haiti was an incredible experience and I was so honored to have the opportunity to serve as the photojournalist for our group. Our goal was to provide a Christian perspective on the situation in Haiti 60 days after the most devastating disaster this poor country has ever experienced.
People have asked me what stuck out the most in the experience.
Saturday March 6, 2010, I had the distinct honor to shoot Rachel Starks and Luke Parker's wedding. They were married at the Wright House in Mesa, AZ. Rachel's dad, Rory, had a tremendous impact on me as I started out in my professional life and so it was even more special for me to be able to not only attend but provide some of the happiest memories that Rachel and Luke could ever have through photography.
To view images from their wedding follow this link.
Rachel and Luke are stylish and very cool. I was fortunate enough to get to spend the morning with them the day before their wedding shooting their engagement photos in the dessert and we shot some gritty urban photos as well. Follow this link to see their engagement photos.
For a quick preview continue.
After completing the editing of Jon and Leslie's photos I jumped into their fusion video. This was a really fun project. All in all we shot photos and video in Milwaukee's Third Ward, the Milwaukee Art Museum, an old train bridge, a fire escape, gritty urban alleys, and amazing architecture. Check out the video. It will change your world! (Or at least it will be lots of fun.)
